Welcome to my world! I am a full time real estate broker and internet success coach, helping others realize success in their online networking ventures. My background has been in corporate sales and marketing for over 10 years now. Well actually, I started my career as an engineer out of college (engineer to sales…ok, that’s a post for another day). As a corporate sales and marketing professional, I thoroughly enjoyed my profession but not the beurocratics that came along with the turf. You see, in the corporate world, there was what we call  a glass ceiling that sometimes can be so hard to shatter. This, along with the fact that my time was not my own, are the 2 aspects I enjoyed least about a career I enjoyed so dearly.

Like many of you reading this post, I did what I was told was the right thing to do. I graduated high school in the top of my class and went on to college to obtain the American Dream. The reality is I’d get my degree, work hard for 40 years of my life, then retire on a pension that was 40% of my working salary. And by most accounts, that was the path I was on.  I’d obtained the ‘6 figures’, an exciting job…but then things came to a screeching halt as the recession troubles mounted and unemployment rates climbed month after month.

So, fast forwarding ahead, after a corporate REORGANIZATION in 2009, I received the most dreaded pink slip. Little did I know, this was the best thing that could have happened for me.  At this point, I had to make some hard decisions about my future and what my next moves would be.  Both fortunately AND unfortunately for me, I had the slight cushion of having had a PLAN B in real estate. For the previous 3 years, I’d worked as a part-time Realtor. Guess what?

That part-time now became my Full Time. Lesson here, ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN B. Never put all your eggs in 1 basket.

Well, as most of you know, 2009 was not the greatest of years to enter the real estate arena as a sole source of income. I decided to dig in and go for it.  Right there, in the middle of a recession, I decided – No more corporate for me! I decided I wanted to own my time and my financial potential. With an unwavering faith, I decided to step out and TRUST my TRUE provider. Let me tell you, that faith, along with ACTION has and continues to pay off for me. Not only financially, but since I’ve made that decision, I have been blessed to meet so many wonderful people. People at the TOP of their game in the industry  have been so gracious to coach and mentor me to success.

My Journey Into MLM

Well, as the summer of 2009 progressed, I realized pretty quickly that I needed to find another Plan B as I was building my real estate business. Moving along to the end of the summer, I was introduced to a career network marketer with over 20 years experience and documented success in the industry. Yes, a seven figure earner. This introduction has absolutely changed my life! Definitely a pivotal encounter for my future.

Before you assume I was an overnight success, let me tell you…the beginning of my journey into network marketing was a bumpy one to say the least. My mentor had been in the industry for 20 years or so full time, so for him old school marketing methods is what worked. Being coachable and wanting to follow instruction for duplication, I did everything I was told to do:

  • made a list of 100 people for my upline to call
  • I went to shopping malls and tried to talk to new people about my opportunity, making sure I got their name and number before I left them.
  • I mailed out postcards
  • I attended hotel meetings every week… and sometimes my guests even showed up!!
  • I put people on 3-way calls, conference calls, and online webinars
  • I bought lists after list after list of leads… again people who said they wanted to start a business

I did it all and started to grow weary pretty quickly! Please note, all of these techniques will work, however it’s just a matter of how you want to spend your time. For me, the internet literally changed the way I thought about network marketing forever.  The World Wide Web allowed me to take my business GLOBAL overnight.  It truly became a HOME based business for me.

The Power of  the Internet

In the beginning, I spent hours studying and investing in my craft  so that I could successfully build my home business online and duplicate  the same process with others who desired. Stubbling upon MLSP ( My Lead System Pro) drastically changed the course of my business and I am forever grateful. It just made so much sense.   A program that I could learn the strategies for online success that I could share with my team had seemingly fallen in my lap. Now, instead of desperately begging people to take a look at my business opportunity, people are contacting me to find out more about me and how they can partner with ME.

I now have time to  spend in my real estate business while building my networking empire, without the burnout experienced working long hours for someone else. Don’t get me wrong, I still work hard, however now it’s because I CHOOSE to, not because I HAVE to. If you find something you love to do, you will never work another day in your life. I am blessed to have found a passion that pays BIG dividends!
